Betty's Almond Cookies

Ingredients:
3/4 Cup Sugar
1 Cup Shortening or butter
1 egg
2-1/2 Cups flour
1-1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda (not powder)
1 teaspoon Almond Extract
2 tespoons malted milk (optional)

In a large bowl, cream the shortening,sugar and egg. Add the almond extract. In a second bowl, combine all of the dry ingredients. Gradually add the dry ingredient into the first bowl and mix until completely blended by hand. Do not use any mechanical mixer or over mix by hand. Refrigerate the dough for 30 minutes or more.Roll dough into 1 inch balls and press flat. Brush with beaten egg and place and almond on the top. Make about 40 cookies. Bake 12-14 minutes at 375.

Vietnamese Noodle Salad

Fish Sauce (Nuoc Cham)

3 tbsp. warm water
3 tbsp. sugar
3 tbsp. lime juice or rice vinegar
4 tbsp. fish sauce
1 clove garlic, finely chopped
1-2 tsp. chili flakes or chopped chilli peppers

1/4 lb. rice noodles, boiled and rinsed
2 cups bean sprouts
1 small cucumber, sliced
1 head lettuce, chopped or shredded
Chopped mint leaves
2 cups carrots, slivered and soaked in Seasoned Rice Wine Vinegar
1 cups green onions, chopped
Crushed peanuts

Killer Fried Rice

Ingredients:
8 cups Cooked Steam Rice
1/2 cup of chopped Ham or Spam
4 strips of Bacon or 2 Chinese Sausage
1 cup of Frozen Peas or Mix Vegitables
2 Eggs
2 tablespoon Oyster Sauce
2 tablespoon Soy Sauce
2 stalks Green Onions
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 white onion, finely chopped
White Pepper
Sesame Oil

Make 4 servicings:

Mix Oyster Sauce and Soy into a bowl. If rice is from night before, soft rice with this mixture.

Use large skillet or wok, add 2 tablespoons of oil. Saute the chopped bacon, ham, garlic and onion for 3-4 minutes. Add rice a rice and sauce mixture and cook until everything is coated evenly. Add frozen peas and cook for about 5 minuites.

Before serving, make a well in the center of the skillet, and add 2 beaten eggs. Stir egg until is it scambled before mixing with the rest of the rice.

Finish off with some chopped green onion, white pepper and a few splashes of sesame oil.

Quicky Chow Mein

Ingredients:
2 packages Oriental Flavor Top Ramen
1 cup of chop chicken breast or any left over meat
1/2 cup of Frozen Peas or Mix Vegitables
1/2 bell pepper, chopped
1/2 cup mushroom, chopped
1 stalk celery
1 tablespoon Oyster Sauce
2 tablespoon Soy Sauce
2 stalks Green Onions
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 white onion, finely chopped
White Pepper
Sesame Oil

Open 2 packages of Oriental Flavor Top Ramen and remove flavor packets. Cook Ramen normally and 1 flavor packet in boiling water and drain. Sauté celery, green pepper and onions for 2 minutes. Add cooked left over meat. Add soy, oyster sauce and stir fry.

Finish off with green onion, white pepper and sesame oil. Toss gently and serve immediately. Now that's a winning taste!

Serves 2-3

 

Killer BBQ Hamburger

Ingredients:
1 lb. ground beef.
2 tablespoon ketchup
1 tablespoon worcestershire
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon onion power
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Enchilada Verdes at Taco Bell

Order this
One enchirito with extra green sauce only, no red.

 

Taco Bell Green Sauce

16 oz can, Embasa Crushed Tomatillos
1 medium onion, chopped
1 large jalapeno peppers
2 cloves garlic
1/4 cup of chopped cilantro leaves
2 cups of water

In a sauce pan, saute the onions . Add the tomatillos sauce, water and garlic and cook for 8 minutes.
Turn down heat and let simmer for 20 minutes.

Taco Bell Beef

1 pound lean ground beef
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 teaspoon cumin
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon chilli powder
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
2/3 cup water

1. Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium high heat, using a wooden spoon or spatula to separate the beef into while cooking
2. Tilt the pan and let the fat drain for 5minutes.
4. Add chili powder, salt, dried minced onion, paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, and water, simmer for 10 minutes.

5 Minute Personal Pizza

Ingredients:
Sour Dough or Plain English Muffin or Pita Bread
Mozzerella Cheese
Pepperoni
tomato, chopped

You can make 2 personal pizza using 1 English Muffin. Separate in 2 halfs. Put Mozzerella chesse first. Top with anything you like. Bake in oven for 6-8 minute @ 400.

 

99 Cents BigMac

Ingredients:
1 double cheese burger for the 99 cent menu
Secret Sauce:
1 teaspoon Mayonaise, 1/4 tsp Ketchup, 1/4 tespoon sugar, 1/2 teaspoon pickel relish
lettuce, finely chopped

or

Order at Double Cheese Burger at McDonals's from the 99 cent menu with No Ketchup or Mustard.
Ask for Sesame Sead Bun, add Secret Sauce, Lettuce and Onion.

 

The Secret Sauce

1/2 cup KRAFT Miracle Whip
2 tablespoon of Ketchup
2 teaspoon of sweet relish
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon mustard

Diet Instant Lemon Ice Tea

Ingredients: Wyler's Diet Ice Tea mix or Lemon Crystal Light drink mix.
Lipons Un-sweetend Instant ice tea

Make 2 quarts: mix 1/2 package of Wyler's and 5 tablespoons of instant ice tea mix.

 

LoCal Margarita

Ingredients for 4 servings:
8 oz Diet Moutain Dew
8 Ice Cubes
2 Limes
2 oz Triple Sec
4 oz. Agave Tequila
Splash of O.J. (Optional)
4 packages of Equal or Splenda

Mixing the Ingredients

Put t1he ice cubes in the blender.
Pour in the tequila, triple sec and Mountain Dew so that the ice starts diluting the liquor.
Squeeze the juice of 1 fresh lime into the blender.

Pulse or blend only long enough to get the concoction mixed your desired consistancy.
Cut up a lime and hang it off the edge of the glass.

Pour into glass which you can garnish salt on the rim.
